Terms and Conditions

- PRICES - Prices on this site are liable to alteration without notice, and orders are accepted at prices ruling at day of order of components to make up the before mentioned commitment to purchase, even though we may receive a priced order. VAT charged at current U.K. rate.

- CARRIAGE - Price for carriage includes packaging, delivery and insurance. Goods will be despatched by the cheapest method, unless requested to use a specific method.

- DAMAGES, SHORTAGES AND NON-DELIVERY - We will not accept any claim in respect of damage in transit, shortage or non-delivery unless written notice is given to Dorset Fishing Rods and to the Carrier by the consignee as follows:-
For damage in transit – within 3 days of the receipt of the goods.
For shortages – within 3 days of the receipt of the goods.
For non-delivery – within 10 days of the date of the invoice.

- BACK ORDERS -  Back orders will be held until goods are available and then sent on unless we advise to the contrary or you cancel the order by notice.

- REFUSED PARCELS - If all, or part, of a consignment is refused because it is damaged, we must be notified immediately, in order to be able to claim on our carriers. Damaged post parcels should not be refused, but taken in and notified to us immediately.

- LIABILITY - Dorset Fishing Rods shall be under no liability for any loss or damage howsoever arising resulting from the use, or conversion, of the goods supplied and the Customer will indemnify the Company in respect of any claim brought by a third party against the Company in respect of such loss or damage, providing always that nothing herein shall exclude any liability of the Company where such exclusion of liability is prohibited, void, or unenforceable under English Law.

- RETURN OF GOODS - We regret we cannot accept goods back for Credit for whatever reason, unless returned in good condition within 14 days of invoice date. Goods received on return in perfect condition will be credited in full less 15% administration and restocking charge. Carriage costs for return of goods is for the returnee to pay.

- LETTER/PARCEL RESPONSIBILITY - In all cases of letters or parcels sent via the Post Office or any other agency, the Post Office or such agency act for the sender, and any late or non-delivery is the responsibility of the sender. We accept no responsibility for any items late for payment due to strikes or industrial relations problems of third parties.

- U.K. PAYMENTS - All payments should be made by cheque, postal order, paypal or cash. Payment needs to be made in full for all custom rod orders upon agreed specifications for the build. No refund will be given for custom builds, unless under condition of faulty goods. All special purchase / order items from overseas need to be paid in full before an order to the third part supplier will be placed.

- RE-PRESENTED OR ‘BOUNCED' CHEQUES - Everytime a cheque fails to clear your Bank on presentation, we will separately surcharge you £10.00 for administration.

- SPECIFICATIONS - We reserve the right to modify specifications according to the supply position or our desire to improve designs.

- RETENTION OF TITLE - Ownership of all the goods supplied by Dorset Fishing Rods shall remain vested in the Company and shall not pass to the Buyer until payment in full for all such items has been made.

- Repairs -  All items left with Dorset Fishing Rods for repair / other such creteria of such works will remain the property of the 'DFR' until payment is made in full, unless other arrangements have been made. 'DFR' withold the right to refuse customers access to premises.
