Below are the before pictures of an ABU Pacific boat rod. The customer required a refurbishment of the blank. The blank needed to be stripped back bare, then refinished. Fuji BNOG guides replaced the old worn ones, underwrapped in gold metalic with garnet over wrap. The banding was kept en-larged as requested by the customer.

Below are the after pictures of the finished rod.It has a high build gloss finish.

The original ABU stickers were saved and glossed over to preserve and protect them.

Below are before pictures of a Daiwa TD-S S140F.The rod was in a poor state with rusted guides, broken reel seat and damaged finish. The refurbishment criteria for this rod was a complete strip and re-finish. Everything was to be replaced with new components.

Below are the refurbished pictures of the above rod. New Fuji BNOG guides, single wrapped in black Gudebrod thread with metalic gun metal colour banding. Diamond shrink wrap grips on handle and easy break down grips either side of the joints to allow the rod to be seperated on the wettest and coldest of days with ease. New Pacific Bay graphite black hood reel seat and butt cap. The top of the tip section has Mighty Bright black eclipse reflective tape undersealed, The tape should have a life span of up to 8 years. With the tape being sealed under resin you should not have to worry about the tape edges peeling up and coming off in the dark again.

The picture at the bottom right is of the Mighty Bright tip tape under resin on the top section of the rod. Black eclipse tape was used on this refurbishment.
