Carp Fishing

I would like to welcome Dave Beckett to the Dorset Fishing Rods team as our carp consultant. Dave has his own business and I'm sure most of you will of heard of Horizon Products high quality PVA. Dave is an accomplished carp & cat angler who has lost count of the numbers of 30lbs & 40lbs fish he has caught in the UK. Dave is a pure English Heritage angler who loves nothing better than spending time on established estate lakes.

As a carp fishing fanatic myself I know how important it is to be able to rely on your chosen tackle, for me the most important aspects of my carp fishing are; bait placement, accuracy and timing, two of which you need to rely on your rods to be able to cope with what you ask of them. Now I have had most rods on the market and never been fully satisfied with them but then they have been produced by the thousands, by some one else's specifications which is not to my liking. However…………, since coming on board as a consultant for the carp fishing at D.F.R, I have never been more satisfied with my rods, Richards' level of skill to be able to build a rod to your specifications with his knowledge a nd craft-man-ship is unbeatable, he will push you in the right direction yet leave it down to you in what you want from the chosen rod and the end product is by far better than any high street rod.
In joining D.F.R, I hope that with his knowledge of rods and my knowledge of carp fishing and what carp anglers need; I'm sure we will be able to bring you some new and exciting products.
